Fitness Classes Offered at Health Centers

The Ontario and Hesperia Federally Qualified Health Centers will offer at least one ongoing fitness class at their location by June 30, 2018.

Why is this important?

Our Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) provide important services to promote healthier lifestyles in our communities. The Ontario and Hesperia FQHCs offer free ongoing fitness classes to connect with community members beyond the walls of the health center. This provides an opportunity for community members to connect with the health center and promote healthier lifestyle choices.

What are we working on?

Currently, the Ontario and Hesperia health centers provide weekly Zumba classes through the Zum Up! Community Intervention Program. The classes are scheduled for:
Ontario Health Center                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Tuesday - 8 a.m
Thursday - 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Friday - 8 a.m.
Hesperia Health Center
Thursday - 9:15 a.m.

How are we doing?

The goal was to have both Ontario and Hesperia FQHCs offering at least one fitness class. Although both centers do offer fitness classes, the objective was not completed before the deadline.
