Vision2BActive
Promote the Vision2BActive initiative and website at 20 local events throughout the county by December 31, 2017.
Why is this important?
Regular physical activity can produce a variety of long-term health benefits for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Physical activity can be simple and fun to do.
The Vision2BActive campaign aims to improve health and wellness in San Bernardino County by encouraging residents to increase their physical activity and connecting them to existing recreational programs, amenities and activities in their communities.
Vision2BActive invites all of San Bernardino County to participate in improving health and wellness in our community to improve quality of life and to advance efforts in achieving the Countywide Vision.
What are we working on?
Our department has been promoting the
Vision2BActive campaign since early 2017. Our goal is to encourage county residents to be
more physically active and connect residents to existing and accessible recreational
activities that are free or low-cost to the public. DPH health educators share
information about these resources at several local events throughout the
county. The campaign's website (www.Vision2BActive.com) is also promoted at these events.
How are we doing?
The Vision2BActive campaign was launched countywide in January 2017. The goal was to promote the campaign throughout the county at 20 local events by the end of the calendar year. Events targeted included community meetings, runs, walks, open trail days and health fairs. By the end of 2017, we promoted the campaign at 27 local events.
